Cucumbers

Cucumbers are a firm favourite in greenhouses and vegetable beds. Long salad cucumbers and parthenocarpic F1 hybrids, which need no pollination, suit the greenhouse, while short-fruited outdoor varieties are good for pickling. Varieties differ in yield and disease resistance.

Sow seeds in pots in late April or May and plant out once there is no risk of frost. Cucumbers need warmth, sun, rich soil and regular watering with tepid water. Pick often and more fruit will follow. Order cucumber seeds from ALLIKASILM with delivery across Estonia and the EU.
