Carrots

Carrots are a kitchen-garden favourite: cold-tolerant, productive and loved by children. Early varieties give sweet young roots in summer, while maincrop and late types are ideal for winter storage. Root shape and length vary too.

Sow carrots directly outdoors in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. They need deep, loose, stone-free soil and even moisture, and germination is slow. Thin the seedlings and cover the bed with fleece against carrot fly. Order seeds from ALLIKASILM with delivery across Estonia and the EU.
