Beetroot is among the most reliable roots for Estonian gardens: easy, productive and a superb winter keeper. Roots may be round or cylindrical, deep red, golden or ringed inside. Young leaves are lovely in salads, and the roots in soups, roasts and preserves.

Sow outdoors once the soil warms and thin the seedlings, as each seed cluster gives several plants. Beetroot likes sun and fertile, non-acidic soil. Order beetroot seeds from ALLIKASILM with delivery across Estonia and the EU.
