Smiltsērkšķi

Sea buckthorn (Hippophae) is a very hardy, undemanding shrub whose orange berries are famous for their vitamin content. Silvery foliage and fruit-laden branches make it decorative too. It copes well with wind, drought and poor sandy soil.

Sea buckthorn is dioecious: berries form on female plants, and a male plant is needed nearby for pollination. Plant it in full sun; note that it spreads by suckers. The berries make juice and jam. Order sea buckthorn from ALLIKASILM with delivery across Estonia and the EU.
