Currants are the most dependable berries in an Estonian garden: the bushes are hardy, easy-going and crop for many years. Blackcurrants give aromatic fruit for juice and jam, while redcurrants and whitecurrants are delicious fresh, in jellies and in baking.

Plant in sun or partial shade in fertile, moisture-retentive soil, spacing bushes 1.5 m apart. Cut out the oldest stems each spring to keep plants young and productive. Order currant bushes from ALLIKASILM with delivery across Estonia and the EU.
