Basil Spires Lavender – a basil with a light aniseed (Thai) aroma and lavender-coloured flower spikes; unlike other varieties, the leaves do not turn bitter when the plant flowers.
Suitable for salads, sauces and hot dishes.

Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings from late March to April, 0.5 cm deep, and keep at 20–25 °C. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in early June, after the frosts, 25 cm apart. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot; it also suits pots.
Care Water with warm water, preferably in the morning, and pinch out the growing tips so the plant bushes out.
Feeding and harvest Feed twice during the season. Cut the leaves often from July to September – this encourages new growth.
