Sweet basil "Large sweet", 1 g, AGRONOM
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Sweet basil “Large Sweet” (Ocimum basilicum) is a fragrant annual culinary herb and a good bee plant that draws pollinators into the garden. Fresh and dried leaves and flowers are used for seasoning, especially meat and fish dishes.
Sow for transplants in March-April, in the greenhouse in April-May and outdoors in May. Basil is tender, so move plants outside only once the night frosts are over. It grows well in flower beds, balcony boxes and on a windowsill, keeping fresh leaves always within reach.
The pack contains 1 g of seed (600-700 seeds), made by AGRONOM.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow somewhere warm and bright. In March-April sow into light seed compost, cover thinly and keep warm and moist until germination. Thin crowded seedlings so they do not become leggy.
Plant out after the frosts. Move plants outdoors only when the risk of night frost has passed, ideally to a sunny, sheltered spot. Water moderately and preferably in the morning.
Pinch out the tips. Once plants have 3-4 pairs of leaves, pinch out the growing tip to encourage side shoots and more foliage. Leave a few plants to flower as forage for bees.
