Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow in the second half of March 0.5–1 cm deep in light soil and keep at 25–28 °C; seedlings emerge in 7–14 days. Prick out into individual pots at the 1–2 true-leaf stage.
Care Plant into a greenhouse in late May to early June, 40–50 cm apart. Water with warm water, feed every two weeks, support tall plants and limit the number of fruits.
Harvest Pick the fruits while the skin is glossy and the flesh still firm; overripe fruits turn bitter.
