Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Soak the seeds for 12–24 hours and sow in April in pots 1 cm deep (22–25 °C); plant out in a greenhouse or warm sheltered spot in early June, 40–50 cm apart.
Care Warmth-loving: needs at least 18 °C, sun and fertile soil; water evenly but do not overwater.
Harvest Pick pods at 5–8 cm every 1–2 days while they are tender. Wear gloves – the hairy pods can irritate the skin.
