Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings in February–March on the soil surface (they need light), covered with only a thin layer of soil and keep at 18–22 °C. Seeds germinate in 2–3 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in late May, 25–30 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. Do not overwater – the plant tolerates dryness better than excess moisture.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a fertiliser for foliage plants and pinch the shoot tips to encourage branching. It is valued for its silvery foliage; height 15–30 cm.
