Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow directly in the bed from late April to June, 1–2 cm deep, rows 30–40 cm apart. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Sowing Thin the plants to 25–30 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot; the plant readily self-seeds.
Care Water in dry spells and keep the bed weed-free. The blue flowers are a prized source of honey.
Feeding and harvest No feeding is needed. Pick young leaves before flowering and the flowers throughout summer; the plant grows 60–80 cm tall.
