Advice from our agronomist

When to sow Sow directly in the bed in April–May 1–2 cm deep, rows 20–30 cm apart. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.

Sowing Thin the plants to 15–20 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.

Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. Can also be sown in late autumn before winter; remove faded flowers to keep the plants blooming.

Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in June–August; height 70–80 cm.
