Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings in February–March 0.5 cm deep and keep at 18–22 °C. Seeds germinate in 2–4 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in May, 30–40 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. It does not overwinter in Estonia but self-seeds – the seeds overwinter; you can also collect the seeds and sow them in spring.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in June–September; height 80 cm.
