About this product

A fast-acting, water-soluble complex fertiliser containing trace elements, for feeding pelargoniums, surfinias, petunias, violets, lobelias, chrysanthemums, gillyflowers, marigolds, phlox, sage, dahlias, snapdragons, Lomonosov flowers, asters, roses, verbenas and other indoor, balcony, hanging basket, summer and perennial flowers, as well as ornamental shrubs. The fertiliser has a balanced formulation and contains all the micro-nutrients essential for plants in an easily absorbable form. It accelerates the onset of flowering and promotes the formation of new flower buds. The magnesium and trace elements contained in the fertiliser strengthen the plants, ensure optimal growth and make the flowers more vibrant. Flowers bloom profusely and for a long time. The potash in the fertiliser strengthens the plants, intensifies the fragrance of the flowers and increases the plants’ resistance to adverse growing conditions and diseases.
Dissolve the powder in water and water the plants with a solution of 1 measuring spoon* per 5 litres of water twice a week, or a solution of 2 measuring spoons per 5 litres of water once a week.
A measuring spoon is included in the bucket. 1
measuring spoon of fertiliser = 2 g. 300 g is sufficient for 600 litres of water.

Advice from our agronomist

Water first, feed second. A feed on a dry rootball scorches the roots. Water with plain water first and give the feed only once the compost is moist.

Basket plants eat the most. Pelargonium, petunia, surfinia and bacopa grow in a small volume of compost: two weaker feeds a week suit them better than one strong one. A weak solution more often gives even growth and does not build up salts.

When to stop. Summer bedding grows until the frosts, so feed to the end of August and into September while the flowers hold. There is no winter hardiness to worry about — the plant finishes in autumn anyway.

White crust on the pot rim. That is salt residue: the solution was too strong or the pot does not drain. Flush the pot once with plain water until it runs out of the drainage hole.

Do not spray the leaves in sun. A droplet of feed on a leaf acts as a lens in sunshine and burns it. Water at the root, morning or evening.

Deadhead. No fertiliser helps if the plant is putting its strength into seed. Pinch off old flowers every couple of days — petunia and pelargonium answer with a fresh flush.
