Water with plain water before feeding — a solution on dry soil scorches the roots.
A weaker solution more often beats a strong one rarely.
Feed in the morning or evening, not in scorching sun.
Stop feeding berry bushes after harvest and fruit trees at the end of July — late nitrogen leaves the shoots unripened for winter.
Pale leaves are not always a nutrient shortage: check first that the soil is not waterlogged or compacted — in wet soil roots cannot take nutrients up, however much you give.
