Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings in March–April on the soil surface (they need light), covered with only a thin layer of soil and keep at 15–20 °C. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in late May, 20–25 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. Prefers slightly alkaline, well-drained soil; do not overwater.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in June–July; height 15 cm. A hardy perennial.
