Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow from February to July indoors in trays, covering the seeds only thinly; germination takes 1–3 weeks. Direct sowing outdoors from spring to early summer gives flowers the following year.
Planting Plant seedlings in sun or light part shade in fertile, well-drained soil, 30–40 cm apart.
Care Water in dry spells and mulch. Remove faded flowers to keep the bloom going.
Feeding and flowering Feed with compost in spring. It is a short-lived perennial – divide plants every couple of years. Give light cover in winter.
