About this product
Cactus and bonsai compost — a sandy, fast-drying medium for cacti, succulents and bonsai. Ordinary potting compost stays wet too long for these plants, and it is wet soil, not dry, that kills a cactus.
The coarse texture lets water drain straight through and leaves air between the roots. With bonsai one more thing matters just as much: a low-nutrient compost holds growth back, so the tree stays small and keeps its proportions.
The pack contains 5 l.

Advice from our agronomist
Water rarely and thoroughly. Let the medium dry out completely between waterings, then water until it runs from the drainage hole. Empty the saucer.
Almost never in winter. During a cool rest a cactus needs a sip a month — winter watering is the commonest cause of death.
Choose a shallow pot. A deep pot keeps a wet layer at the bottom that roots never reach and where the medium turns sour.
