About this product
Coleus “Colocha Scarlet” (Coleus blumei) is a perennial grown here as an annual, and its chief ornament is its scarlet foliage. Plants reach 45-50 cm, make a backdrop for other plants, fill gaps and add colour.
Sow from February to April in a greenhouse or indoors; germination takes 14-18 days at +20-22 °C. Plant out into beds or pots after the last frost, where the plants stay decorative from June to September. Before autumn frosts a plant can come indoors to a sunny windowsill.

Advice from our agronomist
Keep the sowing moist. Sow onto damp compost, cover with film and keep at +20-22 °C. The compost must not dry out at any point during the 14-18 days of germination.
Pinch at 10 cm. When the seedlings reach about 10 cm, pinch out the tips so the plants branch well and stay dense.
Give them room. Plant out after the last night frosts at 30 x 30 cm. In autumn, lift the best plant, pot it up and bring it to a bright windowsill before the cold arrives.
