Delphinium "Pacific Giants", 0.5 g, Žalia stotelė
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Delphinium “Pacific Giants” (Delphinium × cultorum) is a perennial reaching 180 cm, with striking flower spikes that give the summer garden strong vertical accents. The mix includes blue, violet and white flowers, and the whole plant is ornamental.
It blooms in July and August, stays in one place for 3–4 years and needs no winter protection. Lovely in cottage gardens, by gazebos and fences, and in summer bouquets. In open, windy spots the stems need staking. All parts of the plant are poisonous, so site it away from children and pets.
The pack contains 0.5 g of seed (about 200–220 seeds), made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Chill the seed first. Delphiniums germinate better after a couple of weeks in damp sand in the fridge. Then sow in February or March and keep the tray cool, at about +15 °C.
Give plants room. Choose a sunny, rich bed, allow 30–40 cm between plants and, in windy spots, put stakes in before the stems shoot up.
Cut back spent spikes. Removing the first flower spikes as soon as they fade can bring a second flush in late summer. Wear gloves when handling the plant.
