Silver nickel vine "Silver Surfer", 5 seeds, Baltic Agro
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Silver nickel vine “Silver Surfer” (Dichondra argentea) is a foliage plant with trailing or creeping stems, grown for its silvery, rounded leaves. The flowers are tiny and inconspicuous; all the beauty lies in the foliage.
A perennial in the wild, it is grown here as an annual. It is superb in hanging baskets, balcony boxes and tall pots, where the stems spill down in a silver curtain, and as ground cover along the edge of a bed. The silver foliage sets off the colours of neighbouring flowers. It prefers a sunny spot.
The pack contains 5 seeds, made by Baltic Agro.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow early. Dichondra is slow at first, so sow from January to March, 1-3 seeds per pot, covering them only thinly with compost. Keep at about +22-24 °C until germination.
Give plenty of light. Seedlings need a bright windowsill or grow lights, or they stretch and lose their silver tone.
Plant out in June. Move plants outdoors once night frosts are over. Water moderately: it copes with brief drought better than wet feet, and overlong stems can be trimmed.
