Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Pot marigold “Art Shades” (Calendula officinalis) is an annual that is very easy to grow, reaching 60 cm in flower. Calendula is undemanding about soil and does well in ordinary garden ground.
Grow it in window boxes, large floor-standing pots and beds. The flowers can be cut for arrangements, dried for herbal teas, and the fresh petals are edible, making a bright garnish for salads. It blooms from midsummer into autumn.
The pack contains 1 g of seed, made by AGRONOM.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow straight outdoors. Calendula tolerates light frost, so seed can go in 1-2 cm deep in early May. For earlier flowers, sow into pots in April.
Thin in good time. Once seedlings have a pair of true leaves, space them 20-25 cm apart so they grow sturdy and branch well.
Pick often. The more you cut and deadhead, the longer calendula keeps flowering. For tea, gather fully open heads in dry weather and dry them in the shade.
