Annual gypsophila "Covent Garden Market", 1 g, Žalia stotelė

About this product
Annual gypsophila “Covent Garden Market” (Gypsophila elegans) grows about 50 cm tall and covers itself in countless tiny flowers like a white cloud. Its airy sprays are a valued filler for bouquets.
Gypsophila pairs well with brightly coloured flowers and fills gaps in a border. It grows and flowers best in chalky, lime-rich soil and dislikes excess moisture. The seedlings are frost-hardy, so it can also be sown in late autumn; thin the seedlings in spring.
The pack contains 1 g of seed, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow where it is to flower. Sow in April or May 0.5-1 cm deep in free-draining soil. Add a little lime to acid soil before sowing.
Thin the seedlings. Leave 15-20 cm between plants so the airy clumps can spread. Water sparingly: gypsophila suffers more from wet than from drought.
Sow in succession. Each sowing flowers for a fairly short time, so sow a fresh batch every 2-3 weeks until early June for sprays to cut all summer.
