Gypsophila "Rosea", 1 g, Žalia stotelė
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Gypsophila “Rosea” (Gypsophila elegans) is an annual reaching up to 50 cm that flowers in great abundance. Masses of small flowers create an airy cloud that softens brighter neighbours in the border and in the vase.
The flowering sprays are cut for bouquets, and the plants are grown alongside vivid flowers. Gypsophila grows and flowers well on limy soil and tolerates excess moisture. The seedlings are frost-resistant, so seed can also be sown in late autumn; in spring the plants simply need transplanting.
The pack contains 1 g of seed, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow direct. Sow in rows about 1 cm deep in early May or in late autumn. On acid soil add a little garden lime or dolomite before sowing.
Thin the seedlings. Once plants have a pair of leaves, thin them to 15-20 cm or transplant the extras. Gypsophila dislikes shade, so choose a sunny spot.
Sow in succession. Annual gypsophila has a short flowering period, so sow a fresh batch every 2-3 weeks until early July. That way you will have flowering sprays for bouquets all summer.
