Cosmos "Apricotta", 20 seeds, Žalia stotelė
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Cosmos “Apricotta” (Cosmos bipinnatus) is an annual, low-maintenance flower growing 60-80 cm tall. The variety is popular for its distinctive flower colour, which, as the name suggests, has an apricot tone.
Cosmos blooms for a long time and in abundance and is easy to grow. Plant it in flower beds and containers; cut stems last well in the vase. A useful quirk: the poorer the soil, the more it flowers, while rich ground encourages leaf at the expense of blooms.
The pack contains 20 seeds, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Raise a few plants in pots. With 20 seeds, sow 1-2 per pot in April about 1 cm deep; seedlings come up quickly.
Plant after the frosts. Set plants in a sunny bed in late May or early June, 30-40 cm apart. Avoid nitrogen-rich feeds, or leaves will grow at the expense of flowers.
Pinch and pick. At 20-30 cm tall, pinch out the tips to encourage branching. Deadhead or cut for the vase and cosmos will flower until the frosts.
