About this product
Cosmos “Double Dutch Rose” (Cosmos bipinnatus) is a tall annual reaching up to 120 cm and easy to grow. The variety is loved for its distinctive colour and ornate double and semi-double blooms.
Cosmos flowers long and profusely. The plants suit flower gardens and landscape plantings, and cut stems stay fresh in the vase for a long time. Cosmos is undemanding and likes sunny spots; its height makes it a good choice for the back of a border or along a fence.
The pack contains 0.3 g of seed, made by Lucia ELITE.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in April or late May. For transplants sow into pots in April about 1 cm deep; sow direct once the risk of frost has passed. In warmth the seed germinates quickly.
Do not overfeed. In over-rich soil cosmos produces leaves instead of flowers. Plant 30-40 cm apart in a sunny position.
Stake and keep cutting. Tall plants need support on windy sites. Regularly remove faded blooms and cut flowers for the house, and cosmos will keep flowering into autumn.
