Cosmos "Sea Shells", 1 g, Žalia stotelė

About this product
Cosmos “Sea Shells” (Cosmos bipinnatus) is an annual up to 120 cm tall whose hallmark is its petals rolled into tubes, like seashells. Finely divided foliage gives the plant an airy look.
Easy to grow, this cosmos flowers freely and for a long time; the poorer the soil, the more abundant the blooms. It suits borders and pots and is an excellent cut flower. Cosmos can even be moved while in flower, provided it is kept well watered. It self-seeds, so seedlings come up again the following year.
The pack contains 1 g of seed, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Do not overfeed. Cosmos flowers most freely in poor soil; too much nitrogen gives lush leaves but few blooms. Sow indoors in April or direct in May about 1 cm deep.
Support tall plants. Leave 30-40 cm between plants and stake tall stems in exposed spots.
Cut and deadhead. Cut flowers for the vase often and remove faded ones, and cosmos will keep blooming until the frosts. Leave a few heads on the plant in autumn if you want it to self-seed.
