About this product
Water lily Nymphaea ‘Aurora’ – compact dwarf variety: peach, apricot and creamy-yellow flowers whose colour changes through flowering.
An aquatic perennial with floating leaves and flowers resting on the water surface in summer. Suits garden ponds, ornamental water features and large water containers; it shades the water and helps limit algae.

Advice from our agronomist
Planting Plant from May to August using the basket, clay granules and gravel in the kit: lay the rhizome horizontally, leave the growing point free, cover with gravel and lower slowly so the leaves reach the surface. Depth depends on the variety, usually 40–100 cm (compact varieties 20–40 cm).
Watering Keep the water level steady; it needs still water and at least 5–6 hours of sun. Currents and fountains hinder flowering.
Pruning Remove yellowing leaves and faded flowers at the base; divide every 3–4 years in spring if needed.
Feeding and winter care From spring to August use aquatic fertiliser tablets (one tablet pushed into the basket every 4–6 weeks). Hardy as long as the rhizome does not freeze: the pond should be at least 60–80 cm deep; in a small container move the basket deeper or to a frost-free place.
