Advice from our agronomist

When to sow. Sow in April as soon as the soil thaws, or in late autumn for an early spring crop; depth 1–2 cm, row spacing 20 cm. The variety tolerates severe frosts.

Sowing. The first greens are ready about 20 days after sowing. Sow again every 2–3 weeks until July for a continuous supply of fresh greens.

Care. Thin seedlings to 5–10 cm. Water regularly to keep the greens tender; do not use fresh manure. The variety flowers late, so the greens stay tender for longer.

Harvest. Cut greens before flowering, often; bush dill regrows after cutting. Dry in the shade or freeze; for umbels (for pickling), wait until they are green.
