Planting out Plant the seedlings out in early June in a warm, sunny, sheltered spot, 60–80 cm apart. The vine needs a support or trellis.
Care Water generously, especially while the fruits are growing. The fast-growing vine produces fruits up to 2 m long.
Feeding and harvest Feed 2–3 times with organic fertiliser. Pick young fruits to eat; leave mature ones on the plant until dry and harvest them before the frosts.
