About this product
Lobelia “Cambridge Blue” (Lobelia erinus) is a classic bushy lobelia whose name refers to its light blue flowers. This annual reaches up to 30 cm in flower and becomes densely covered with small blooms.
The compact plants suit edging, balcony boxes, containers and mixed summer plantings. Lobelia develops slowly, so it is sown indoors in February or March and planted out once night frosts are over. The fine seed is not covered with soil.
The pack contains 2500 seeds, made by Johnsons.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow on a moist surface. Mix the fine seed with dry sand, scatter it evenly over moist seed compost and cover with film. Keep the tray in good light at about +18-20 °C and moisten with a mister.
Plant in clumps. Prick out seedlings in groups of 3-5 and harden them off. Plant out in early June, about 10-15 cm apart for edging.
Keep the soil moist. Lobelia hates drying out, especially in containers. If flowering fades in midsummer, cut the plants back and give a flower feed, and they will bloom again.
