Lobelia "Crimson Fountain", 1500 seeds, Mr Fothergill’s
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Lobelia “Crimson Fountain” (Lobelia erinus) is an annual trailing lobelia with, as the name says, crimson flowers. Plants reach up to 30 cm in flower and are smothered all summer in a dense haze of small blooms.
As the name hints, the stems cascade like a fountain, making it ideal for hanging baskets, balcony boxes and tall pots. It flowers from June to September and likes sun or partial shade with evenly moist soil. The seed is very fine and is left uncovered.
The pack contains 1500 seeds, made by Mr Fothergill’s.

Advice from our agronomist
Mix the seed with sand. Dust-fine seed spreads more evenly if mixed with dry sand first. Sow in February or March onto moist compost, leave uncovered and keep under film at +18-20 °C.
Water from below. Delicate seedlings collapse easily when watered overhead, so moisten via the saucer or with a mister.
Plant in clumps. In late May set groups of 4-6 seedlings into baskets. If flowering flags in midsummer, cut stems back by a third and feed for a fresh flush.
