Lobelia "Red Cascade", 0.1 g, Žalia stotelė
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Lobelia “Red Cascade” (Lobelia erinus) is an annual, exceptionally free-flowering lobelia for balcony boxes and hanging baskets. The flowers are small, 0.5-1 cm across, and the stems grow up to 30 cm long, spilling over the edge of the container in a cascade.
Lobelia develops slowly, so it is sown indoors as early as February or March. The very fine seed is not covered with soil but only pressed lightly onto the surface, and the sowing must be kept constantly moist. Plants go outdoors once night frosts are over.
The pack contains 0.1 g of seed, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow on the surface. Scatter the dust-fine seed over moist seed compost, press it in lightly and cover with glass or film to hold warmth and moisture. Water only with a mister or from below, or the seed will be washed away.
Prick out in clumps. Move seedlings on in small clusters of 3-5, as single ones are fiddly to handle. Harden plants off before putting them out in early June.
Feed and trim. Water hanging baskets daily in hot weather and give a flower feed. If flowering weakens in midsummer, cut the stems back by a third.
