About this product
Lobelia “Rosamond” (Lobelia erinus) is a low, compact variety reaching up to 10 cm in flower. “Rosamond” is known for its carmine-red flowers with a white eye, a rare colour that adds warmth beside blue and white lobelias.
Lobelia flowers from June into autumn as long as the plants are not allowed to dry out. It suits balcony boxes, hanging baskets, pots, edging and graves. It thrives in sun or part shade in loose, moist soil. The fine seed is sown indoors as early as February or March.
The pack contains 0.1 g of seed, made by KURZEMES SĒKLAS.

Advice from our agronomist
Do not bury the seed. In February or March scatter the fine seed over moist compost, press it in lightly and cover with film. It needs light and about +18-22 °C to germinate.
Grow in clumps. Prick out seedlings 4-6 to a pot to form a low, dense cushion. Water moderately and from below.
Keep evenly moist. Plant out in early June 10-15 cm apart. This low variety is ideal for edging; plants that dry out stop flowering, so water container lobelias daily in hot weather.
