Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow directly in the bed in April–May on the soil surface, covered with only a thin layer of soil, rows 20–25 cm apart. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Sowing Thin the plants to 10–15 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. After the first flush of flowers cut the plants back by half – this encourages a second flowering.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in June–October; height 10–15 cm.
