Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow directly in the bed from April to August, 1–2 cm deep, rows 20–25 cm apart. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Sowing Thin the plants to 5–8 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot and light, fertile soil. The plant stays in one place for 3–5 years.
Care Water regularly so the greens stay tender, and keep the bed weed-free. Remove the flower stalks.
Feeding and harvest Feed with compost in spring. Cut the greens from April to October; the plant is frost-hardy and regrows in spring.
