Advice from our agronomist

When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings in February–March, 0.5–1 cm deep, and keep at 18–20 °C. The growing season is long, so it is grown from seedlings.

Planting out Plant the seedlings out in late May – early June, 10–15 cm apart, rows 30 cm apart, in a deep furrow. Choose a sunny spot and fertile soil.

Care Water regularly. To get a long white part, earth up the plants every 2–3 weeks.

Feeding and harvest Feed 2–3 times during the season. Harvest from September to November; leek tolerates cold and can stay in the bed until harder frosts.
