Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings from late March to April on the soil surface, covered with a very thin layer of soil, at 18–22 °C. The seeds are very small and germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in early June, after the frosts, 20–25 cm apart. Choose a sunny, warm, well-drained spot.
Care Water moderately and keep weed-free; marjoram does not tolerate standing water.
Feeding and harvest No feeding is needed. Cut the stems from July to September; the aroma is best at the start of flowering; dry them in the shade.
