Sowing Sow the seeds from April to May directly in the bed or in trays on the soil surface, uncovered, as the seeds germinate in light. Keep the temperature at 15–20 °C; seedlings emerge in 10–20 days. Prick out at 2–3 true leaves and plant out in May–June, 20–25 cm apart.

Care Keep the soil lightly moist and avoid waterlogging. Dislikes transplanting, so sow in the final position where possible; remove spent flowers.
