Giant hyssop "Cana", 5 seeds, Baltic Agro
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Giant hyssop “Cana” (Agastache cana) is a bushy, aromatic plant growing to about 75 cm. Its striking fuchsia-pink flowers draw beneficial insects into the garden, and it is also known as the mosquito plant.
It loves sun and tolerates drought well, but it is not frost-hardy in our climate, so in Estonia it is usually grown as an annual. Sow indoors in February or March and plant out once the frosts are over. It suits a sunny border, a rock garden or a large container.
The pack contains 5 seeds, made by Baltic Agro.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in a tray. In February or March scatter the seeds over moist compost in a seed tray and cover only very lightly. Keep warm and bright until they germinate, then prick the seedlings out into pots.
Choose a dry, sunny spot. Plant out only after the last frost. Giant hyssop needs free-draining soil, as roots suffer in heavy, wet ground.
Water sparingly. Once established the plant copes with drought on its own, so water only during long dry spells. Remove faded flower spikes to keep the display going longer.
