Pea "Kelvedon Wonder", 500 g, AGRONOM
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Pea “Kelvedon Wonder” (Pisum sativum) is an early, heavy-cropping marrowfat shelling pea that needs only 70–80 days from sowing to harvest. Plants grow 45–65 cm tall and yield sweet, well-flavoured green peas.
Sow in early spring while the soil is still moist, usually in March or April; the crop is ready in June and July. The peas can be eaten fresh, dried, frozen or canned. A medium-heavy soil that lets water and air through suits it best.
The pack contains 500 g of seed, made by AGRONOM.

Advice from our agronomist
Make use of spring moisture. Sow as soon as you can get onto the bed: in damp soil peas come up quickly and evenly. Allow 40 cm between rows and 5 cm within the row.
Keep to a rotation. Peas should return to the same spot only after 4–5 years. Potatoes or cabbages are good predecessors, leaving the soil loose and clean.
Sow in batches. With such a short season, sow every two or three weeks for a longer supply of fresh peas. For drying, leave the pods to ripen fully on the plant.
