Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow in March–April in pots, barely covering the seed (it needs light), at 18–20 °C; plant out in May 30–40 cm apart. Growing in a container keeps the spreading in check.
Care Prefers moist, humus-rich soil; water regularly. A perennial that spreads by underground runners. Remove flower buds to keep the leaves aromatic.
Harvest Cut shoots as needed from June to September; for drying cut the plant before flowering. The first-year crop is modest.
