Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow directly in the bed in late May – June, once the soil has warmed up and the frosts are over, 1–2 cm deep.
Sowing Scatter the seed evenly, rake it in lightly and roll. Prefers a sunny spot and warmth.
Care Water during germination. The plant grows fast and is undemanding; keep the bed moist until the seedlings emerge.
Use As a green manure, mow the plants at the start of flowering and dig them in; in flower they are a good honey plant. No feeding is needed.
