Pea "Talbot", 500 g, AGRONOM
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Pea “Talbot” (Pisum sativum) is an early, productive marrowfat variety with plants 50–70 cm tall. It forms two pods at every node, which makes for a generous harvest. Each pod is about 7 cm long and holds 7–8 large peas.
Once up, the seedlings tolerate frost to −4 °C, so sowing can begin in March or April whenever the soil allows. The crop is good fresh, canned or frozen. Grow it in a medium-heavy soil that lets water and air pass freely.
The pack contains 500 g of seed, made by AGRONOM.

Advice from our agronomist
Prepare the bed in autumn. Dig the soil over and lime it if needed, so you can sow in spring as soon as the ground dries. Sow at 40 × 5 cm, about 4 cm deep.
Do not fear spring frosts. Emerged plants cope with down to −4 °C, so covering them is rarely necessary.
Move the crop around. Return peas to the same bed only after 4–5 years. After harvest leave the roots in the ground: they enrich the soil with nitrogen for the next crop.
