Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings in January–February 0.3 cm deep and keep at 22–24 °C. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in late May, 25–30 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. Sow in late January–February – the first flowers appear after 4–5 months; avoid waterlogging.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in June–October; height 30–40 cm.
