Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow directly in the bed in April–May 2–3 cm deep, rows 60–70 cm apart. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Sowing Thin the plants to 40–50 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. The tall plant needs a sheltered spot and, if necessary, a support.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in July–September; height 250–300 cm.
