Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow in March–April in pots, barely covering the seed (it needs light), at 18–20 °C; plant out in May 30–40 cm apart. Growing in a container keeps the spreading in check.
Care Prefers moist soil and sun or partial shade; water regularly. A perennial that spreads by creeping runners, so keep it in check. Its strong scent also helps deter insects.
Harvest Cut shoots for tea and seasoning as needed through summer; use sparingly as the aroma is strong.
