Painted sage "Clary Mix", 0.4 g, Žalia stotelė
Seller: ALLIKASILM
About this product
Painted sage “Clary Mix” (Salvia horminum, syn. Salvia viridis) is an annual growing 60-70 cm tall. Its beauty lies less in the flowers than in the two-tone ornamental bracts at the stem tips, which stay colourful all summer.
Painted sage brightens beds throughout the summer and is good in bouquets, both fresh and dried. It grows best in full sun in moist, loose, fertile soil. Sow indoors in March and plant out after the last frost.
The pack contains 0.4 g of seed, made by Žalia stotelė.

Advice from our agronomist
Sow in March. Cover the seed with a thin layer of compost and keep evenly moist at about +18-20 °C. Prick out into pots at the two true leaf stage.
Plant out in late May. After the last frost set plants in a sunny spot 25-30 cm apart. Water in dry spells, as painted sage prefers moist soil.
Cut for drying at the right time. For bouquets cut stems once the bracts are fully coloured and hang them upside down in bunches somewhere shady to dry.
