Advice from our agronomist
When to sow Sow the seeds for seedlings in March–April on the soil surface (they need light), covered with only a thin layer of soil and keep at 18–22 °C. Seeds germinate in 1–2 weeks.
Planting out Plant the seedlings out in May, 20–25 cm apart. Choose a sunny spot.
Care Water moderately, more in dry spells, and keep the bed weed-free. The plant tolerates drought but flowers more profusely with regular watering.
Feeding and flowering Feed 1–2 times with a flowering-plant fertiliser and remove faded flowers – this prolongs flowering. Flowers in June–September; height 20 cm.
