Advice from our agronomist
Sowing Sow the seeds from March to April in trays or in a greenhouse lightly covered with soil (0.5 cm). Keep the temperature at 15–20 °C; seedlings emerge in 20–40 days. Cold stratification (2–4 weeks in the fridge) improves germination. Prick out at 2–3 true leaves and plant out in May–June, 40–50 cm apart.
Care Keep the soil lightly moist and avoid waterlogging. Tolerates drought; avoid excess moisture.
Use Suits borders and dried bouquets; bluish spiny flowerheads.
